Jennifer Cass began her harp studies at the University of California, San Diego. There she earned her B.A. with a double major of mathematics and music, with highest honors in music. She proceeded to earn her Master's Degree in Harp Performance and Literature at the Eastman School of Music under Eileen Malone. She then attended the University of California, Santa Cruz to earn her M.A. in mathematics.

Ms. Cass currently resides in Santa Cruz where she is active in several ensembles and as a soloist. She won the 1992 UCSC Concerto competition and performed Tailleferre's Concertino pour Harpe as well as Ravel's Tzigane.

Ms. Cass performs regularly with UCSC faculty and ensembles, Santa Cruz New Music Works, Cabrillo Stage, Santa Cruz Chamber Players, Bay Shore Lyric Opera Company, and has been a featured soloist with Ensemble Monterey. She has been an occasional harpist for the San Jose, Santa Cruz County and Monterey County Symphonies. She appears on recordings celebrating the works of Germaine Tailleferre and Lou Harrison.

Jennifer teaches mathematics at Cabrillo College in her spare time.
